Sunday School Program

Bitaemo-Welcome to the St. Josaphat Sadochok


The Sunday School Program at St. Josaphat Cathedral runs on Sundays from September until April. It is offered for all school age children and Junior High students who attend the Cathedral Parish.

We use the God-With-Us series, a catechetical program developed by the Eastern Catholic Bishops of the United States, and other resources approved by the UGCC.

First Solemn Communion Classes

Those children who are ages 8 and up (Grade Two) will follow the program suitable for preparing them for their First Confession and Solemn Holy Communion. 

Monthly Children’s Liturgy

On the last Sunday of each month, at the 9:30 am Divine Liturgy, children and youth participate by helping with the responses, singing the hymns and reading the epistle. The homily is directed toward the children, who are invited to sit in the front pew of the church.
