Sunday School Program

Bitaemo-Welcome to the St. Josaphat Sadochok


The new Sunday School Program at St. Josaphat Cathedral next class begins January 9th, 2016 for all children who attend the Cathedral Parish.

We will be using the God-With-Us series, a catechetical program developed by the Eastern Catholic Bishops of the United States.

Pre-school Children (English)

This program will continue as before during the 9:00 am Divine Liturgy, with children leaving the Divine Liturgy at the Small Entrance and returning at the Cherubic Hymn.

Grades One to Six (English)

Classes will begin at 10:00 am (after Communion) and will run until 11:00 am.  These classes, taught in English, are open to children who attend either the English or Ukrainian Divine Liturgies.

First Solemn Communion Classes (Grade 2 Program)

Those children who are in Grade Two will follow the program suitable for the preparation for the reception of their First Solemn Confession and Communion which has been tentatively set for April 30 – May 1, 2016.

Next Class begins

January 9th, 2016
Saturdays from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
This will be a condensed program taught in English.

Monthly Children’s Liturgy

The homily during these Liturgies will be directed specifically to the children in our parish and will take place once per month (dates to be determined)!

Children’s Choir (Ukrainian)

This program is offered in Ukrainian and is open to children ages 3 and older.  The Children’s Choir learns traditional and liturgical songs.  They lead the 11:00 am Divine Liturgy on the last Sunday of the month and also perform at other events throughout the year.  This group meets in the Cathedral basement at 10:00 am.
